hello everyone!
was really happy that so many people turned up on a sunny(ish) evening on a bank holiday to play ukulele and sing. it cheered me right up! but that isn’t to say we didn’t put in a bit of effort….with so many events coming up in june – we had some wrk to do!
first things first…
1) download the CALENDAR JUNE 2013 and make sure you have the 3 events and the optional extra rehearsal in your diaries.
2) check out the revised set lists for Tealbeck and York here
JUNE 2013 SET LISTS
then download the amended music for songs on the set lists (yes, i corrected my mistakes!)
other songs we looked at over the 2 hour session included…
RAINDROPS KEEP FALLING ON MY HEAD (OUO)
DON’T YOU WANT ME chords+lyrics
PHEW! that was a marathon session!
😉
but the singing and the strumming sounded incredible so keep practising those chord changes you got stuck on…and if the strumming is difficult just start with a simple down strum (try 4 times on each chord) and hum the tune…then try different strums until you get the feel of the song. the key is to RELAX! especially that right arm.
so moving on to next week….if you are thinking of performing at York (15th June) it would be great if you could attend the 7.30pm session as i would really like to try out our own unique, never-been-done-by-anyone-ever-before version of this song! trust me…i think it will work!
so have a listen – get the riff in your head and we’ll have a go next week….!
also listen to (specifically) the intro to our version of TAKE ON ME so we can really get that sorted…the rest of the song sounded so amazing! i am so excited about playing this one in front of an audience!
until then, happy strumming my friends. and as always please get in touch with queries, questions or if you would like to arrange a one-to-one lesson…
