OUO performing outside Woolpack Music Studios for Otley Walking Festival, June 2018
Welcome to the Official Otley Ukulele Orchestra website! We have been playing together since 14th May 2012. Our group is open to players of all abilities, although basic chord knowledge is assumed. We go through new techniques and add more advanced chords and tab/lead playing for those who wish to push their skills on. We play all sorts of songs on the ukulele from Supergrass to The Supremes, The Beatles to Bananarama! Our mission is to have fun making music and making friends.
We love to play at many events in Otley and can be hired to play at your special event!
We meet on Monday nights at The Woolpack Music and Arts Studios, 14 Bondgate, Otley, LS21 3AB. We do have some Mondays off around school holidays so check home page or Facebook for dates – you can also email me jen@bighooha.co.uk
SESSION 1 7:30pm-8:30pm is a fun sing-a-long session suitable for all abilities. (£5)
SESSION 2 8:30pm-9:30pm is more performance based, where we spend longer looking at more detailed arrangements, often with 2 or 3 parts for the ukulele. (£5)
Price for both sessions £6 – this includes sheet music – can be paid in cash or card on the night or in advance via bank transfer PAY ONLINE
People of all abilities are welcome to attend either (or both!) sessions. Learners are welcome and we can lend you a uke for your first session. However, beginners might benefit from one-to-one tuition or from coming along to one of our COURSES
Hi, being thick or … can see a file icon for each song sheet, nothing happens when I click on them!

Terry, here. Experimenting with wordpress as part of a uni workshop on ‘Alternate Reality’. Great fun. Would you mind ‘liking’ my page, please? Cheers. See you soon.
This probably says a lot really, but, tell me about your bass player and what instrument he’s playing.
Hey Richard, thanks for your comment. Our bass player (Paul) plays either an electro-acoustic bass or a hollow bodied bass guitar. We don’t use a bass ukulele! Hope you can see us in concert sometime! 🙂
Hi. I’m part of the Cambridge ukulele group. I’m hoping to do a spookulele session of our own (this will be number 3) and I was really impressed by your poster advertising your one – perhaps from last year? It had skeletons on it. I don’t suppose you might consider letting me have the artwork so I could adapt it to advertise our own event would you?
Hi Ros, thank you for your message! Unfortunately I only have a PDF of the poster. I am not sure if this will help you?? Keep in touch. Jen
