Private Tuition

Private tuition is available and may be helpful if you would like to come to the orchestra but have little or no experience of playing the ukulele. I have experience of tutoring people of all ages and musical experiences on the Ukulele and understand that we all learn at different paces. I aim for my lessons to be relaxed, fun and informative and I like to get people playing songs as soon as possible (singing is optional!). I would like you to get the most out of your time.

RATES:

Ā£25 per hour (group tuition same rate up to and including 4 people)

For groups of 5 or more or to arrange a workshop – please contact me jen@bighooha.co.uk

I teach at The Woolpack Studios, Bondgate, Otley. My usual teaching days are Mondays and Fridays. Evening and weekend lessons can be arranged although my availability during these times is limited.

If you would like some more information on private tuition or would like to book in a lesson please contact me on jen@bighooha.co.uk

I look forward to hearing from you

  2. Hi Jen

I have a 6 year old daughter who had a ukulele bought for her for christmas, which she wanted. I was wondering if i could arrange lessons with you for her we live in shipley.

    Many Thanks
    Rachel

    • Hi Rachel, Thank you for your message. I’m afraid that at the moment I don’t have any after school availability during the week to teach your daughter. I run a junior ukulele group on a Saturday morning at The Woolpack Studios in Otley that your daughter might be interested in – in a year or so – at the moment we have young people in school year 5 – 8 who come. Sorry I don’t know of any teachers in your area to recommend. If i can help with anything else please do get in touch. Jen

  4. Will Smithson

    Hi Jen,

My name is William Smithson. I am teaching at a new Primary School in Leeds and require immediate and urgent ukulele lessons. It would be great if you could drop me an email with some free times you have available in the next couple of weeks. I am enthusiastic and a quick learner, although I do not have a ukulele of my own yet. Also, I like to sing Spanish music and hope I can use these skills to add to me new musical repertoire. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
