We’ve been having some fun sessions so far this year, learning new songs and revisiting some songs from the OUO archives! The songs of 1967 have been getting some attention – 50 years since such great tunes as Waterloo Sunset and Itchycoo Park!
We also played our first gig of the year at Cafe Lux in Pudsey, which is home to The Haven Breast Cancer Support Centre. Lesley, Jill and the Luxulele group did a great job organising the fun night of music – and raised a total of £794!!!
Big thanks to all who came to play 🙂
We will be strumming this half term… (13th February)
PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO SESSIONS ON
Monday 20th March
Monday 3rd April

I hope you have all had a lovely festive season – we will be back strumming and singing together from 7pm on MONDAY 9th JANUARY at The Woolpack Studios…
Expect new songs and good times!
See y’all then 🙂
Please come to party with us on 18th December at The Fleece on Westgate, Otley from 8:30pm!
Expect some fun tunes (some with a Christmas theme!) and good times with friends. All welcome – if you play a little bit and have only been coming for a short while… join in the songs you know! The party is also for our non-playing friends to have a good sing song and dance (it has been known!)
Hope to see you there 🙂
We’re very excited to be performing at this year’s Otley Beer Festival! We’ll be just one of the many local musical acts to be gracing the stage this year… so why not make a weekend of it and come and join us!
We’ll be playing from 6pm-8pm on Saturday 19th November at Otley Rugby Club on Pool Road. Entry is £3 which includes commemorative glass. OBF raises money for local charities too so everyone is a winner!

Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday to Korks! We had such a great time. Players and audience members made such an effort with fancy dress and it looked and (in the case of the band!) sounded brilliant! We got the audience dancing and singing along, which is always fantastic.
Tim H (OUO) won first prize for best dressed ukulele player. His gruesome costume make up (and zombie walk) was spectacular!
Jenny S won first prize for best dressed audience member
Here are some photos taken by Simon C – thank you! 🙂
Have a look at some more photos John H – thank you! 🙂
It’s that time of year again when we get our costumes and fake blood ready and dust off the old spooky song file!
